Iconic and trailblazing, straddling the worlds of casual sports clothing and premium fashion, Italian brand Stone Island has been an innovator of dye and surface treatments since its founding in 1982, employing new materials and designs to pioneer garments which break the mould of how activewear and sportswear look—without sacrificing quality and performance.
A Field Jacket in a lightweight tela made with Japanese star-shaped cross-section polyester/polyamide yarn, which is assembled and then dyed under pressure at 130°C, with the addition of a water-repelling agent. During the garment dye process, the heat radically transforms the hand and structure of the material. The resulting garments combine an industrial appearance with a unique feel.
