Tanesya / Tin / Tinny has been with FABRIC since the beginning (over 20 years!).

Tin is FABRIC's style icon! We love her mirror selfies, attention to detail (particularly when it comes to treats time), & when she gets the hip hop pumping in store!

For Mother's Day this year, we caught up with Tin to discuss an array of important topics, from what it means to be a mum to her most memorable school pick up outfits.

We hope you enjoy this series as much as we loved putting it together with Tin & her beautiful daughter, Darshini.

With love,

TEAM FABRIC X

What is the best thing about being a mum? There are so many things. One would definitely be spending quality time together because time is precious and there's never enough of it!

What is the most challenging thing about motherhood? Trying to guide Darshini the best I can. I want more than anything for her to be the best version of herself possible. In order for her to achieve this, I need to be the best version of myself, which can be tough at times!

What is one piece of advice you wish you knew 20 years ago? Life's short, you've got to live in the moment and you can't change anyone.

What was the most important lesson you learnt from your mum? My mum has always been a super hard worker. Through this, she taught me this importance of having a strong work ethic which I'm very proud of and owe to her and my dad. She also taught me that tears don't achieve anything and to just get on with it!

Most memorable school pick up outfit? I have a few, they might not be appropriate... Lol.

What is the number one thing you won't let Darshini do until she leaves home? Get a tattoo and date.

It's your day off work. You and Darshini are hanging out. What are you doing? Sunday's are our day to run errands, hit the ice cream shop, watch Netflix and listen to some good jams! ... Maybe a spot of shopping too.

What makes you most proud of Darshini? Her resilience, kindness, and achievements at school.

What have you learnt about yourself, being Darshini's mum? That you can never be perfect, all you can do is try your absolute best. Darshini always tells me not to take life so seriously, to relax and laugh more - "Have a growth mindset, not a fixed one, mum!".

What are you hoping to get from Darshini this Mother's Day? A YS Army jacket and a homemade card.
